Domestic Violence Awareness & Safe Community Support provides learners with a practical introduction to understanding abuse, recognizing warning signs, and responding in ways that prioritize safety, dignity, and care. Designed for both Muslim and non-Muslim learners, the course focuses on universal principles of survivor-centered support, healthy relationships, prevention, and community responsibility.
Students will explore different forms of abuse, including physical, emotional, psychological, financial, and coercive control. The course also addresses how stigma, family pressure, cultural expectations, and fear can prevent individuals from seeking help.
This course is educational and awareness-based. It does not replace professional crisis services, legal support, counseling, or advocacy training. Instead, it helps learners respond more responsibly, avoid harmful reactions, and connect people with appropriate resources.
