About this course

Trauma-Informed Care in the Light of Islam introduces learners to trauma-informed principles through a practical, professional, and values-based approach. Designed for both Muslim and non-Muslim learners, the course explores how trauma affects emotional wellbeing, relationships, behavior, family systems, and community life.

Students will learn how to recognize trauma responses, create safer support environments, communicate with compassion, and avoid practices that may unintentionally cause further harm. The course also considers how culture, faith, migration, discrimination, conflict, and social stressors can shape trauma experiences.

This course is not a clinical trauma treatment certification. Instead, it provides practical awareness and support frameworks for professionals, educators, community leaders, and caregivers who want to respond to trauma with greater sensitivity, dignity, and care.
